Hey Everyone!

Thanks for tuning in to the show last night. I've been feeling a bit antsy here in NY lately. I am in need of another road trip.  Michigan was a great start, but I'm yearning for the road or a plane or something.  So since I don't really have time time to take a trip, I took one musically. Hey Everyone,

Tonight was all about "My People" and they have a lot of exciting things going on this summer.  Tamar-kali's album Black Bottom is coming out on July 13th, Gina Breedlove just dropped her CD Open Heart, Ian Friday just released the Found Myself EP, I Love Monsters just came back from LA doing a freecreditscore.com commercial and their song "Heart/Beat" is featured on HBO's Entourage and The Family Stand's new album In a Thousand Years is coming in September!  Phew. Take a breath. Let it all sink in. My people are making moves. If you don't know the names, get to know them. These folks are here to stay.

What's Up World!!!

Tonight we kicked off the first test run of WRFB: Radio Free Brooklyn straight out of Bed Stuy! It was an amazing night with our hosts Dexter Taylor, Christian John Wikane, Rob Fields and yours truly, Shelley Nicole.
