It's been quite a couple of weeks for me. So much so that I didn't even post last weeks playlist. Please forgive me. We had The Family Stand live in studio for two hours, which was nothing short of a treat. But it's time to bring things up to the present. I'll recap later.

Hey Everyone,

Tonight was all about "My People" and they have a lot of exciting things going on this summer.  Tamar-kali's album Black Bottom is coming out on July 13th, Gina Breedlove just dropped her CD Open Heart, Ian Friday just released the Found Myself EP, I Love Monsters just came back from LA doing a freecreditscore.com commercial and their song "Heart/Beat" is featured on HBO's Entourage and The Family Stand's new album In a Thousand Years is coming in September!  Phew. Take a breath. Let it all sink in. My people are making moves. If you don't know the names, get to know them. These folks are here to stay. 

Finally, blaKbüshe got a mention in theroot.com as one of Black Rock's Blazing Genius! Please check that out! We are very excited.
